About mp3 Encoders
Due to
the huge license fee Fraunhofer is demanding for selling mp3 encoders and
decoders we hasn't add any mp3 encoders to the program.
However we can add support for external mp3 encoders such as Lame Encoder
and Blade MP3 Encoder.
MP3
Tells the program to
generate mp3 files. If you have the free-limited-software-encoder installed
you can
only use it for a trial period of 30 days. To solve this problem uninstall the program Rosoft MP3 Encoder, Limited Edition. You can only use this function if you have the file lame_enc.dll in your Windows folder. You can download lame_enc.dll at the URL http://www.RosoftEngineering.com/cgi/lameenc.cgi.
CODEC
This option tells the program to use CODEC's when you record or play a track. To be able to use this option you must have at least one working CODEC installed on your PC.
External Encoder
Use an
external encoder for creating wave files. Rosoft CD Extractor creates a
temporary wave file with the same name as the track name pluss .wav at the if
the file doesn't end with .wav. The wave format needed is depending on what
wave format you external encoder needs. In generally you need CD Format (PCM,
44.100 kHz, 16 Bit, and Stereo, 172 kbit/sec). See the dialog Wave Format.
Wave
When this format is
selected the files are stored as wave files. The files are stored using Pulse Code Modulation (PCM) model as the Compact Disc Digital Audio (CDDA) format the, generally CD Quality, PCM, 44.100 kHz, 16 Bit, and Stereo, 172 kbit/sec.
